Dr. Drummond is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine class of 1987. He completed post-graduate medical residencies in Family Medicine, Howard University Hospital (1990) & Occupational Medicine, University of Pennsylvania (2009). He completed his Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins University in 1998. He maintains board certification in Occupational Medicine. His professional experience includes health disparities research and practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), medical administration and military medicine.

Dr. Tran provides leadership, motivation, vision, and direction to Board, staff, and donors of the NCAPIP. This position serves as the organization primary representative and spokesperson to all constituencies, both external and internal, as well as a main coalition builder on behalf of the API community. She is responsible for overall management, including daily work as well as the long range mission, and key divisions/departments: Diabetes, Mental Health, Policy, Finance, HIT, and Development.
Elena V. Rios, MD, MPH

Dr. Rios founded the National Hispanic Medical Association, which is dedicated to our mission: to improve the health of Hispanics and other underserved. She has worked to develop the linkages with the national Hispanic health professional associations in the country as well as MOUs with the state and regional Hispanic medical societies. In order to develop the membership association, She has worked with Board members, consultants and staff to develop leadership training programs for Hispanic physicians and residents, mentorship for medical students, and cultural competence and research activities and policy advocacy to transform the health system to meet the challenges of the future America that includes a growing Hispanic population
